Follow Your Dreams

If I wanted to write books, I could write books. If I believed I could do something, they would empower me and support me through each and every endeavor.

As I’ve become a young adult, I see how important following your dreams can be. I’ve seen so many people walk through life like zombies. It’s as if they’re simply going through the motions. But in reality, they fail to recognize the value in each day. I’ve caught myself doing that before, too. I have to finish my classes, get my homework done, shower, etc.

What I think keeps me going is the idea that I am following my dream. In high school, I didn’t have it easy. Well, let’s just say since I was 10 I haven’t had it easy. Friends never came easily for me, and they still don’t. I’ve searched within my heart to find out why that is, but have never quite pinpointed it. I was always that girl that stood out because I was always chasing after my dreams. I was a dream catcher. If I wanted to work at a store and gain retail experience, I did it. If I wanted to make money so I could buy myself my first designer bag, you best believe I did it. No one quite believed in the power of my dreams, but I did.

There’s something so magical about sitting down and figuring out what your dreams are. Figure out your dreams and chase them. My dream was always to be involved in fashion and be able to inspire people. I’ve been doing that now for two years. While it gets tough sometimes and I lose hope, I remind myself that I am one of the lucky ones who has realized my dream and is going after it at full speed.

A life well-lived is a life where you tried everything you could to reach your dreams. No dream is too big enough. No dream is too scary. The only thing stopping you from chasing after what you really want is yourself.

So, what is your dream?

As a symbol of following your dreams, wear this necklace. Layer it with other dainty jewels or have it stand out on its own. Every time you feel it, you will remind yourself that there is no time left to waste – get chasing!

I hope to be accomplishing some dreams for TFD soon, starting with a new blog design, which will allow me to start sharing more personal content as well as travel. There are so many things to dream of in this world and if you don’t follow your heart, what are you really living for?

xo!
