Mama life is a new journey for me and I can't wait to take you along for the ride and go through it together.
Hi, everyone! I hope you had an amazing weekend. I can’t believe that it’s already over. While I’m super excited for my 21st birthday, I’m starting to feel kind of old… haha! I spent the weekend hanging out with my family and running some last minute errands for my birthday celebrations. My mom even got me a new Kate Spade iPhone case…you can shop it here!
I’m also pretty nervous that the days are going by so quickly because that means I’m going back to school. I took the fall semester off so this will be my first time attending classes since May. Ahhhh! I’m ready, though. This semester I decided to switch my major from Broadcast Journalism to Public Relations, so hopefully I’ll learn some tricks that I can use on the blog!
I also wanted to tell you that I’ll be formatting my posts a little differently…(just so you know). I’ll have the main text here and then under the rest of the pictures (which will follow below), I’ll have all of the outfit details plus their thumbnails! That way, if I want to talk about something in a specific picture, I’ll do it right below the picture. Then, at the end, you can shop the post as always!
I’m absolutely loving my new swing dress from Everly Clothing. It’s so comfortable, fun and the pattern makes it really easy to dress up or down. I decided to make it a little edgy with some booties and a faux leather jacket. Then, of course, I added some glam with a statement necklace (by the way, I’m coveting this new pearl version).
P.S. If you are an aspiring blogger or have just started your very own blog, Savannah of The Blog Issue and I will be hosting a 2-hour webinar on Saturday, January 17th at 12pm PST. It’s only $25 and you can sign up here! After you sign up, make sure to email up to 10 questions to media@theblogissue.com. We will be answering all of your questions throughout the webinar so make sure to get them sent to the email above ASAP! We are so excited to be hosting this and I promise it will be worth every penny. 🙂 There are limited seats so, if you want to sign up, do so quickly!
Anyways, thanks for reading and make sure to head to the end of the post for all outfit details!
I am completely obsessed with how loose this dress is. It’s perfect at the top and then goes out towards the middle/end. This makes it a classic piece that can be worn day or night! You could even wear it with gladiator sandals during the spring and summer months.
Adding a leather jacket is the perfect way to make an outfit edgier. Since I’m pretty girly, I decided to try something new and absolutely love this leather jacket from Saylor Clothing! Just for reference, I’m wearing a size medium because I wanted to be able to comfortably wear other layers underneath.
This is probably one of my favorite statement necklaces because it does just that… makes a huge statement! I love how it looks as if there are so many layers, when really it’s just one necklace. I probably wear it more than I should!

Love the bag and necklace! Nice to virtually meet you…happy birthday!
Hey there! Love this post. I’m a PR major and I know you will like it! I also thought about starting out in broadcast journalism but couldn’t be happier with public relations. Have a great semester! 🙂
I love your outfit! That dress is so fun and I love the necklace too! My major is Journalism Public Relations so it’s perfect! I go to Indiana University, where do you go?
