Flamingo Skirt

This flamingo skirt is all that in a bag of chips. I’ve been into the midi skirts lately because they remind me of the old days when women used to dress so differently than they do now. Don’t get me wrong, I love today’s fashion. But I think there’s something so beautiful when it comes to the more ‘vintage’ looks. I struggled for a while with what to wear this skirt with, but decided to go with my chambray top tied at the bottom. I’ve worn this top in so many ways – tied around my waist, tied like this, buttoned down and tucked in, over a casual dress… it’s seriously the best!

I love how it brings a bit of a sporty vibe to the look, while still keeping it elegant and feminine. Flamingos are all the rage right now, so it’s no surprise that I’m completely in love with this flamingo skirt, right? How pretty would it look with a striped top? Maybe I’ll try that next!

So, thanks so much for the advice and suggestions for Charleston and Savannah via Facebook yesterday. I’m even more excited now! I’m thinking of doing some sort of travel post next week. What’s in my makeup travel bag, what’s in my jewelry travel bag, etc. It’s so hard to pack so I figured I could stray away from my normal outfit posts and do one of those! Let me know your thoughts.

PS. Totally random, but lately I’ve been cleaning my makeup brushes with this glove and it’s absolutely amazing. It’s 10x faster to clean my brushes and it really gets all of the makeup off of them! I’m obsessed. I used to hate cleaning my brushes and now I do it once a week! I’ll be adding it into my travel post next week, since I’ll be bringing it along with me! I also have some more favorites from Sigma that I’ll be talking about next week. They have the best stuff ever!
