Mama life is a new journey for me and I can't wait to take you along for the ride and go through it together.
This little number was one of my favorite looks from Charleston. I have this scallop skirt in both black and white and it’s honestly such a great wardrobe staple. I’ve never really been into mini skirts like this; I’m usually into midi or maxi skirts, but this one is an exception. It has an elastic waistband, is a great length and the scalloped edge is so cute! I paired it with a blue off-the-shoulder top, which is currently sold out but I’ll link some other OTS tops that I love below! Clearly, I’m still in the obsessed-with-blue-and-white phase! Blue and white is such a classic combo and clearly I’ve been loving it too much lately.
I decided to wear my Rebecca Minkoff bag, which fits so much, because I wanted to be comfortable while walking around on our last night in Charleston. This was the perfect outfit for just that! This bag fits so much; it’s kind of unexpected. I always thought it would be super small inside but you can fit a really good amount of stuff in it! I also love how neutral the color is… perfect for any season!
This Moon & Lola bracelet and necklace have been on repeat ever since I picked them up last week. I love that they’re neutral and match with everything. I’ll be styling a few new things from them in the upcoming weeks and I can’t wait to share the photos with you!
I really loved the change of scenery in Charleston. While it was a blast and I absolutely love being able to spend time with my parents, I am thrilled to be home and back in the old routine. Isn’t it crazy how we get so caught up in what we’re used to that we miss it when we’re gone for a little while? Plus, I’m so happy to be with my dogs!
Below I’m going to share some of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale pieces that have already come in. I’m so sad that the rest haven’t come yet! But I have a lot coming in on Friday and will do a big post on Saturday (a rare Saturday post) to go over what I’ve bought, sizing, my thoughts, etc. This will be perfect because the sale opens to the public on Friday so you’ll be able to shop my favorites once I post on Saturday! Remember to sign up for my newsletter (right sidebar) to enter for your chance to win an $100 gift card! I’ll be sending out exclusive content via the newsletter so make sure to subscribe… and enter for a chance to win some shopping money!
Here are a few pieces I already have received…
Leith Button Front Stripe Shirt: this by far has to be one of my favorite purchases. This shirt is softer than anything you’ve ever tried on – trust me! I’m wearing a size small and it’s perfect. I saw it online and wasn’t sure, but decided to order it anyways. It’s even prettier in person! It has light blue and white stripes, is light and can be tucked in or out. I also love how it can be dressed up or down and gives the classic striped blouse a lighter, more feminine feel. This is a must-have! It fits true to size! Price: $39.90
BP. Chambray Shirt: this top has already completely sold out in the blue color, so I suggest if you want to get one, grab it now! I got it in white and in blue… and am thinking about the gray! I recommend sizing up in this shirt if you want the looser fit that you see in the photo above. I’ve worn it tucked in and out and it’s just as pretty both ways. It’s another really soft top and I’m hoping they bring it out in black, too! This is another must-have. And how pretty is the red?! Price: $31.90This is the same BP top, except tucked in! Just as cute and comfortable with a pair of shorts. 🙂 It seriously matches with everything… I’ve already washed it twice! I’m wearing it here with my new Rebecca Minkoff Cross body in Latte. I actually purchased this bag in two colors because the price was unbeatable. I’m so happy I did! It fits so much, is really comfortable and the color is so pretty for really any season. It’s worth the splurge… you won’t see RM at this price again! Price: $129.90 I also got the cross body in the oxblood or ‘port’ color because it’s a beautiful color for fall and winter. Again, super obsessed with this bag and I think it’s an essential addition to your fall wardrobe! If you have any questions about what you can fit inside of it, leave them in the comments below! Price: $129.90
I’ll be doing a post on Saturday of everything that has come in so far… so make sure to keep an eye out for that! I’ll do a full review (just like above) on each and if you have any questions you can always ask me in the comments or via email (laurenthefashionistasdiary@gmail.com). Thanks so much for reading and happy Wednesday!

I love anything scalloped. I might get the black skirt for sorority events! I love your purchases, I’m currently waiting for my booties that I bought to arrive! I spent years searching for a pair, and finally found the ones I wanted! I might shop a little bit more today 🙂

I love all these looks and am super jealous of how you can wear white so much. I’m too much of klutz, but I do love the scalloped skirt!

The scalloped skirt is absolutely darling, I never would have thought to pair it with a blousy top like you did but I love it! Looks like you made an absolute killing with the sale. I’ve been staying away to give my wallet a break but y’all aren’t helping with the temptation!
