Happy December! (Wow, already?!).
I wore this black swing dress for the first time over thanksgiving break (for thanksgiving dinner) and I really love it! The material is super soft and I dressed it up with a faux fur vest and OTK boots. It’s only $46, too. By the end of the night, I took off the vest and scarf because Tampa was a little too hot for that. I had a great time with family over the long weekend and hope you did, too! If you have any upcoming holiday parties or events, this is a great dress to have. It’s also just a great wardrobe essential! My scarf is pretty awesome too, and SO comfortable. And it’s only $13! It looks so pretty with something simple… like this black swing dress! Haha. 🙂
I’m having a little bit of anxiety lately with school and wanted to see if any of you had any remedies for coping with that? I’ve had anxiety many times before but this anxiety is actually making me physically sick (I think that’s what is causing me to be sick). I would love to hear any suggestions you may have. I’m a little desperate here!
I hope you all did some great shopping over the weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by! xo
PS. this vest isn’t available online but I promise I will let you know when it is!
Gorgeous! It looks so warm with the vest, scarf, and boots 🙂

In terms of the anxiety, I totally understand! What works for me is making a detailed to-do list, than schedule out what I need to do. I include fun things that I need to do as well, because that makes things look a lot more positive to me! Also, I find that talking it out with a friend is also really helpful!

I love this dress 🙂
and of course those OTK boots.

You look great! As for the anxiety, I’ve dealt with anxiety (the kind that makes you physically sick) a fair bit and for me the best solution was talking with a therapist and running. I know talking with a therapist isn’t always viable but even just meeting once a month is so helpful. I also found journaling about anxiety a bit relieving (and cutting out caffeine when I was really anxious because it just made things exponentially worse).
Oh man, that vest and that bag are everything!
I would suggest going to a counselor/or a professional offered by your school to go talk to them about your anxiety. I personally have never had anxiety problems but I always hear such great things about taking advantage of a therapist! Good luck and hang in there!

I’m with everyone above in agreeing how talking to a therapist/psychiatrist/medical professional would be best. I was going through a difficult time a few years back; I had anxiety and other issues. Talking to a psychiatrist helped me.
Take care of yourself.
Such a great way to make a comfy dress a bit more cozy and dressed up. As for the anxiety, whenever I felt anxious at school I would go into my dorm (a moment when my roommate wasn’t in the room, preferably), make sure the room was cool, turn off the lights, then light flat on my back on my bed. Even if I laid there for just 5 minutes it made me feel better. I take supplements and use lavender oil in moments of severe anxiety now but just taking a calming moment to myself seemed to help then. xx Merisa | Monogrammed Magnolias
Very pretty! I’m not one that normally mixes pastels with black, but I love how you did that in this look. It turned out amazing.

I love this look! You look fabulous. For me, I have a couple different coping mechanisms for my anxiety. Try popping into a yoga class, taking a soothing bath, using calming essential oils, or talking with someone who will simply listen to you sorting your thoughts out. I hope that you feel better soon- that’s the worst.
Such great steals! Your outfit is great!

You look beautiful! That dress is darling.
On anxiety…I get it too! I switched from lattes to green tea and not matcha almond milk lattes. I know it sounds crazy, but coffee was making me nervous and anxious. Green tea is great for stress, but still gives you energy and all the good effects of coffee. I also take this herbal supplement Cortisolv, CoQ10, and always make sure I eat a little protein and don’t wait too long between meals. I can always see the huge difference when I don’t do these things. It’s like a different person. I hope you find what works for you. 🙂
oops I meant “and now matcha…”
Love the vest + dress combo! x Nicole | http://www.changeanddress.com
Love this outfit! Especially pairing the dress and vest!
First off, you are gorgeous! I LOVE this outfit! Second, I hate that school is giving you so much anxiety! I get the same way with work sometimes. Take a bubble bath and read a book or magazine and just zone out for awhile. Self care, boo!

Love this look, using a fur vest and scarf is a great way to dress up a simple swing dress! Also, I’m so sorry you’re having anxiety! Towards the end of the semester I always tend to get anxious. Making a list in order of most important to least important helps me get everything under control & I also make sure to schedule in some “me” time. Even if that just means having a glass of wine, wearing a mud mask, and having “How to Get Away with Murder” playing while I’m working on a project. Anything helps 🙂 Good luck with the rest of your semester!

When I get really bad anxiety, I just sit back, make a to-do list of what EXACTLY I need to do that day. Nothing more, nothing less. Then I do a little bit of yoga or binge watching of tv and then get to my work. I have really bad anxiety, and there’s really nothing you can do to make it better. You just have to breathe and push through and hope it gets better.
I wish you the best!
I’m so in love with this look. That vest is amazing. I’m so sorry about your anxiety! I find that when I’m experiencing any kind of anxiety, it usually helps when I’m around a few people that I love and trust. If that can’t happen, then I’ll distract myself by listening to music, watching Netflix or taking a nap.
I was literally just looking for a way to wear a dress similar to this! I just bought that scarf and love it! Such a cute outfit.
I recently have been having anxiety too. I’ve had stress headaches/migraines for over 2 years now. I use essential oils for my headaches, but also for anxiety. I like that it is all natural, and they really do work!

That vest is super cute! I love everything about this outfit. It’s not cold enough here to wear a vest yet unfortunately.
