Mama life is a new journey for me and I can't wait to take you along for the ride and go through it together.
In a nutshell, I want to answer a question I’ve gotten so many times: how do you stay organized? As a blogger, organization is key. You have to have everything settled before it even happens and make sure you stay on top of things. Because, before you know it, the week you waited turns into a few weeks, then a month and then your collaboration is due and you have nothing! With a few tools, tricks and amazing items, I’m able to really keep track of what I have going on for the month and how I can make the most of my time.

1. Keep an editorial calendar. This is essential! Plan out your month. When you have a collaboration in the works, make sure you have a set date to post. This not only makes it so much easier for you, but it also allows the shop/whoever you’re collaborating with to know when to expect a post. Whether it’s a little reminder telling you to post, or a few reminders telling you to take the pictures, write the content and then post, you want to make sure you have this. It really has saved my life and it also helps me space out my posts in general. Also, if you have a specific series, make sure you write down the expected post dates in your editorial calendar! My amazing calendar is from A Blissful Nest and is honestly God-sent. It’s big, has a lot of space for writing and is custom-made with my initials. Can we say love?2. Remind yourself of what you need to be doing day-to-day. The editorial calendar is a basic overview. Once you have that set up, you want to make sure you have your days and weeks organized. You can do this each morning (like I do), or set it up a week in advance. That’s all up to preference! Mine is from Heart and Arrow Design and it’s really great. I absolutely love my editorial calendar but this helps me stay focused for the specific day or week.3. Get a planner that you can take with you daily! I love this planner from Design Love Planner and can’t wait to start using it in January. It gives you space to write out your daily to-dos, blog-related or not. It also allows you to set your monthly goals, which I love and it also has inspirational quotes and sayings throughout! I take this with me in my purse wherever I go because it’s small, easy to carry and so cute. I really recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great planner that isn’t super huge and heavy! It makes it fun to plan things out. Lunch with friends? Write it down. Dinner with mom? Write it down! Blog meeting? Write it down and don’t let yourself forget!4. Make your office cute! I love my calendar from A Blissful Nest and each month has different colors and patterns. I’m so obsessed! They also carry amazing quotes to hang up, phone cases, trays, and basically anything and everything you can think of!I love my tray from West Elm and my little trinkets from all over the place. I collect as I go and, sometimes, I collect and keep way too much. But, being in a bright and positive workspace affects my work in a great way and it’ll do the same for you! The notecards with my name on them are from Inkspot Workshop and I’ve been using them to send out thank-you notes and little sweet notes to friends and companies! Also, make your desk bright and pretty. I usually have a lot of things on my desk but I like to switch things up from time to time. I love my print from Le Papier Studio because it reminded me of myself and of my mom. We’re petite people but we protect each other and our friends when necessary! So, yes. We can at times be fierce! I love having quotes and prints all around my office. When I’m feeling down, I look at them and remind myself that it’s just a bad day. They also keep me happy and ready to go when I’m planning posts and writing them!
