Mama life is a new journey for me and I can't wait to take you along for the ride and go through it together.
A lot of you have asked me about my everyday makeup and skincare routine. So, here it is! It’s pretty simple and how I do my makeup everyday. I’ll make sure to include everything you need. 🙂
First things first, I apply Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer to prep my skin. I have oily/acne prone skin so I use Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer in Bisque for during the day when I’m going to class or just hanging out because it has just the perfect amount of coverage without being too heavy. When I want to wear a foundation that’s a little heavier (but still not cakey), I use the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluid Foundation in Cashew, which is amazing. It also lasts a really long time because you only have to use a very little bit! I made the mistake of squeezing way too much of it onto my hand when I first got it, but you really do not have to put so much because it spreads really well. I apply either foundation with my Beauty Blender, which is the most amazing thing you could ever get. I recently got it and have not stopped using it. The best part is that it’s really a clean alternative to brushes (I still do love my brushes for other things, though).
After I apply either foundation, I dab a little bit of Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in 1.5 under my eyes and on any problem spots to brighten up my eyes and hide any blemishes – this is the best! You only need a little bit. I really love Laura Mercier products because they are great for people who have either oily skin or acne prone skin. In my case, I have both… so she really does make great products for sensitive skin.
Once my foundation and concealer are on, I set them with Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder in Rich Vanilla. This helps my makeup stay on all day and makes the makeup appear and feel smooth.
I absolutely love my Anastasia Contour Kit. I didn’t use it for this tutorial, because for everyday I use a bronzer and don’t contour. But, when I want to contour and highlight certain areas, this is the best thing ever! I usually do this on the weekends, when I go to events, or want to make my face appear thinner.. haha!
Next, I apply blush and bronzer. I like blush that looks pink without being too pink. I use the Nars Orgasm Blush and absolutely love it! I’ve used it for about 4 years now and have tried others but still always go back to this one. When I want to go for a more dramatic look, I use the Laura Mercier Illuminating Power Quad in Pink Rose. For a light sun-kissed bronzer look, I love the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in #1. This is my everyday bronzer! I absolutely love it and apply it with my Laura Mercier Bronzer Brush. For a more dramatic effect, I use the Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in No. 3. I apply it with my Laura Mercier Angled Cheek Contour Brush after I’ve applied my regular everyday bronzer from Laura Mercier.
For my eyebrows, I use the Anastasia Duo Brow Powder in Dark Brown. This is amazing! I swear by the Anastasia brow products. I put it on with the Anastasia Synthetic Duo Brow Brush and make sure my brows stay in place with the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. For mascara, I use Chanel Le Volume Mascara in Black. My eyelashes are really thin and short, so this is the best mascara I have found/tried to make them appear longer and thicker! I love it and it lasts a really long time. For my eyes, I only use the Naked Palettes #1 and #2. For this look, I only used palette #1 and the colors were: Sin, Virgin and Toasted. These are my usual go-to colors for during the day. I love the colors Busted and Booty Call from palette #2! All the colors are pretty, to be honest. 🙂
For my lips, I love to use Snob by Mac Lipstick and apply a clear coat of Urban Decay Lipgloss in Love Child after. This is a great combo for those of you who like a soft nude/pink lip. Sometimes, I just use the Urban Decay lipgloss and it gives my lips a little bit of color without being too much! For schooldays where I don’t really want to wear lipstick, I always have my Laura Mercier Lip Balm, which works some magic to make sure my lips aren’t chapped! I highly recommend this. I also like the smell of it. 🙂
I honestly don’t know where I would store my makeup if it weren’t for my amazing GLAMbox! I absolutely love it and how much room it has. You can purchase your own here. It’s the best investment, ever!
For my daily skincare routine, I wash my face every morning and night (sometimes in the middle of the day, too if I’m going to take a nap) and I use the Clarisonic Mia 3. This is THE BEST THING EVER. If you’re going to buy anything from this routine-post, buy this. What I’ve linked comes with absolutely everything you need, including the two brushes, cleanser and charger. I honestly cannot stress enough how great this product is. It takes off all of your makeup, and even if you aren’t wearing makeup, it completely cleans your face and unclogs your pores. Always moisturize after, too! My moisturizer and cleanser are from my dermatologist, but clean your face everyday at least two times and don’t sleep with makeup on, even if it’s just a nap! That’s the worst thing you can do for your face.
I’m wearing my favorite Glitter Mill Boutique tunic and, yes… sitting on my desk/vanity. You can shop everything I’ve mentioned in this post below or by clicking on their links throughout the post!

Gonna have to look into these Laura Mercier products because I, too, have oily skin so I’m always looking for new products because I haven’t found ones that I love, just yet. Thanks for the routine!
