Mama life is a new journey for me and I can't wait to take you along for the ride and go through it together.
I know how it goes with us girls. We always feel like we have nothing to wear. Happens to all of us, including me. One thing I love about fashion is that it’s so versatile. There are so many ways to wear the same piece of clothing and the combinations are endless. Because I like to invest in staple pieces, like this off the shoulder top, I wanted to show you how you can dress it up and down. I really don’t know what it is with blue lately, but it seems to be taking over my wardrobe! This top is a great piece because the colors are perfect for day or night. That’s one thing I love about off the shoulder tops… they are so easy to dress up or down. To dress it up, I wore my favorite pair of dark denim that are actually cropped, so they’re great for petite gals. These are my go-to pair of jeans. They’re a little pricy, but totally worth the splurge considering how many times I’ve worn them! I wore cognac wedges to match my purse because, after all, it is summer and I didn’t want to accessorize with anything too dark! This tote is the best thing ever and fits absolutely everything. I’ve been recommending it to everyone! To dress up an off the shoulder top, here are some of my key recommendations:
Now for the dressed down part… for the most part, I’m a super casual dresser. But, when I dress casual, I like to make sure I still look put together. One great way to dress down this top is to wear white shorts of an appropriate length. I recently got these and really love them. They’re super comfortable, long enough and are flattering. Another way to give the look a casual vibe is to add in a hat! I chose my favorite fedora because it has a chambray trim, which dresses it down and gives it more of an everyday look. I also recently got this hat and love it, too! It’s extremely comfortable and light. To finish off my dressed down look, I wore my T&N gold shimmery flats! These are the perfect everyday flats and are so comfortable. You can use the code ‘LAP25’ to get 25% off your purchase! To dress down an off the shoulder top, here’s what I would suggest:
I kept all of the accessories the same, so that it would be an easy transition to change this look from dressed down to dressed up, or the other way around. Which is your favorite look? I’ve also linked some of my favorite off the shoulder tops below!

I love both looks! I think dressed up is my favorite though. I really am into this off the shoulder trend and I can’t wait to get more pieces!

I used to not want anything to do with off-the-shoulder tops but I’m warming up to them, I may have to snag one!
Both looks are super cute! I love the versatility of the top. Even the casual outfit is elevated and a little dressy because that top is so pretty! Xx
LOVE this transition look! The shorts and hat make it the perfect boat outfit. Great styling, love!

Loving both ways you wore it! <3
Off the shoulder tops have been my favorite summer trend this year! I love them and seriously want 90 of them. That’s normal right?

Such a cute top!
I love both looks! I never like the off the shoulder top (broad shoulders) but now I definitely want to try it! Lovely summer look 🙂

Both looks are way cute but I definitely like the shorts better!
I love the classic shape of this top! It looks polished and put-together with the dark wash jeans and is perfectly casual with the shorts and little woven hat.
It looks like something that can be worked into pretty much every season, too!
